Heidi Hoffer is a professional scene and lighting designer, with union (USAA) scenic artist credits. Heidi was awarded a 2010-2011 Fulbright Scholar award to work in the theatre industry in South Africa for 13 months. She has completed theatre research and design work in China, Taiwan, Italy, Egypt and South Africa. She has received several grants and fellowships to conduct this research, and she uses the synthesis of Eastern and Western painting styles in her designs and scenic art.

She frequently designs for the Pacific Coast Performing Arts Theatrefest; notable designs include The Imaginary Invalid and Urinetown. She has designed for Little Theatre of the Rockies, the University of Colorado, the American Theatre Company, Illinois Stage Company, Tulsa Youth Opera, Creede Repertory Theatre and the University of Scranton. She has designed more than 84 productions for Oklahoma State University. Currently, she is designing Evil Dead, As You Like It and Peter and The Starcatcher.

Heidi is an Associate Editor for the USITT journal TD&T and a member of the USITT Scene Design Commission. She has presented painting technique and design workshops at USITT and regional conferences. In her teaching and research. she specializes in scenography, scene design, lighting design, costume design, scene painting, computer-aided drafting, water color and model making.
