J. Bryson Baker is a Lecturer in Theatre for the Oklahoma State University Department of Theatre. Originally from Stillwater, Bryson received a B.S. in Liberal Studies from OSU in 2009 and went on to receive a B.F.A. in Theatre and later combined his love of psychology and performance into a M.A. in Theatre. His thesis, entitled "A Model of the Acting Experience: Dual Processes of Consciousness," explores the psychological nature of the acting experience. Throughout his time at OSU, he was seen on stage as well as working on commercial and film roles throughout Oklahoma. In graduate school, Bryson received an Irene Ryan Nomination for his role of "Jody" in Lonely Planet by Steven Dietz. He also appeared in a principal role in the film Left of Center, which was an Official Selection at the Portland Film Festival in 2013. Bryson parlayed his psychology and performance education into the world of business and helped to create the "OrangeTech" brand here at OSU. Bryson continues to pursue commercial and film work regionally, and his entrepreneurial spirit leads him to spend time with a variety of projects.
